VASELINE COCOA RADIANT

SKINCARE REVIEW: VASELINE INTENSIVE CARE COCOA RADIANT WITH PURE COCOA BUTTER

Normally I use cocoa butter lotion to moisturise my body as cocoa butter is one of my favourite ingredients in lotions/creams. I also use a cocoa butter scented petroleum jelly to moisturise the drier parts of my body (arms, legs and, feet). My skin doesn't get too dry but it definitely needs some tlc! I usually like light lotions and thick creams/butters/petroleum jelly.

THIS PRODUCT! OBSESSED! I'm so happy I found this product right before my summer fully kick started. I really do love this product it's just LIFE! The products description: "Vitalising body gel oil for healthy glowing skin with repairing moistures". On the back it reads: "we believe healthy looking skin starts with deep moisturisation, cocoa radiant gel oil with pure cocoa butter, with pure cocoa butter known to repair dry skin, replenishes skin and locks inn moisture for a natural glow, THAT'S THE HEALING POWER OF VASELINE."

The reason I've just typed out the whole description is because it is NOT A LIE! You know when something's so good you start reading the ingredients and description like say you actually understand half of what it says...exactly what I legit had to do! When I first bought it up I literally just picked it up in the queue waiting to pay because it was on offer but when I tried it I was like girlll please!

I've tried Vaseline's lotions and not going to lie not impressed, I have dry skin and I really need something that is rich in moisture and will ensure my skin does not get dry in a short amount of time. BUT THIS PRODUCT is full of moisture, the glow it gives me is so pretty and it is perfect for summer. The description does not lieeee. The only con is that the pretty glow does fade away but who cares my elbows are moisturised and not ashy :)

Overall rating: 9/10 - it would've been a 10 if the glow lasted much longer than it does but nevertheless it's still so so rich and moisturising! Purchase your bottle of goodness right here for £5.39 now on SALE at Superdrug for £2.65! Don't miss out!

Stay Moisturised! Stay Pretty!

THE BODY SHOP INSTA BLUR

MAKEUP REVIEW: THE BODY SHOP ALL-IN-ONE INSTABLUR

HEY DOLLS! Back to my regular blog posts finalllly, apologies for being inconsistent!
Blurrrrrr it all out! Today I'm reviewing the Body Shop All-In-One InstaBlur (universal shade baby!) I'm not actually sure if this is classified as a primer or some sort of corrector. I personally use it as a 'corrector' on top of my primer! This product gurlllll (or boy), go and purchase it! Just a bit of background information: I have oily/combination skin as you may know if you've read my blog posts. Now my forehead, nose and eyelid get oily during the warmer seasons my cheeks and chin are normal (winter: dry) however some days my whole face just becomes oily or some days it will just be a combination of oily/normal or oily/dry. For ways on how to combat oily skin click right here!

It says that it is a 5-action perfector (however it doesn't state on the packaging what the exact 5 actions are). I tested this out on the back of my hands in the store and I was actually amazed...like it actually blur's out your skin. Apparently when you've applied this you do not need to put an instagram filter on, forgot who told me but you know! The Body Shop advertises it as "Get Photo Perfect Skin In An Instant" - I apply this around my nose, around my eyes, forehead, and a little bit on my chin mainly where I have pores, blackheads and whiteheads.

PROS
- Blurs out my pores (I have small pores)
- Keeps my face shine-free and matte (OILY SKIN FRIENDLY YAS)
- Smells decent
- Only a little is needed

CONS
- Unfortunately, as much as I adore this product it doesn't last all day long - I come home looking pretty average and not completely 'blurred' out
- Small tube (25ml)
- The consistency of the actual product is strange not sure I like it

Overall rating: 7.5/10, I really like the product! I think it does blur out your face for a short amount of hours and it might seem a little bit pricey for the small tube however you really do need a little bit. I do not recommend you put it all over your face only apply to your problem areas (deep pores, spots, redness, t zone area etc)

You can purchase it here for £14 ~ ALSO if you're on the O2 mobile network O2 Priority do quite a few promotions with The Body Shop I think I managed to get 40% off the original price once! Or The Body Shop online website usually do really good promotions!

Stay Blurred! Stay Pretty!

HOW TO: BRONZED SUMMER GODDESS

GLO GIRL!

In this HOW TO I'll be showing you guys what products are needed to make you a GLOW girl and give you that perfect Summer Goddess bronzed look. I'll also be telling you the application guidelines and swatches! WOC FRIENDLY!

Products used: Maybelline New York - Dream Bronze BB - Medium/Deep
Creightons - Bronze Ambition Glow'N'Go - Instant Tan Matte
Sleek - Face Contour Kit - Dark 886
MUA - Merged Trio Eyeshadow - Emotions

1. Start with your skin care regime! Good skin = Flawless/Smooth makeup. Want to achieve better skin in 7 days? Read my Magnitone blog post here. & if you want to combat your oily skin, read my blog post on tips and reviews of different products here!

2.
Self-tanning gives lighter complexions a dark, bronzed finish...and it does exactly the same thing on darker complexions! Apply this to your cleansed skin rubbing it in to ensure a smooth and even coverage. I use this for my face as my neck is already slightly darker than my face, I do not need to apply this to my neck. WAIT until the lotion is fully absorbed before you begin makeup application. Avoid contact with your eyes, do not use on broken or irritated skin & keep out of direct sunlight when drying. Purchase here ~ £5.00

3. Wait, wait, wait for that tan to absorbbbb and release your inner goddess glow!

4.
This product really does excite me. When I saw it in Superdrug I couldn't walk past it I had to purchase it! This has SPF 25 and it claims it's a '8-in-1 Beauty Balm Sunkissed glow Perfector'. Apply a thin layer to skin, you can apply this with Real Techniques stippling brush, personally I use any flat foundation brush (Eco Tools/Mary Kay or Real Techniques) to evenly distribute the product. It says you can use it with or without a moisturiser but I do use a moisturiser (as part of my skin care regime). Purchase Here ~ £6.99

5.
This highlighter gives me LIFEEE. Personally this is the ONE for me. I use the golden shimmer just above my cheek bones as a highlighter. I apply this either with my Barry M's blush brush or Hema dan brush. You can put as little or as much as you want, the pigmentation is absolutely lush! Depending on how much GLO you want depends on how much layers you put on! Purchase Here ~ £6.49

6.
This part it optional girls. This is actually an eyeshadow trio palette. However, the Gold bronze colour is life guys! Just adding a little bit of it over the Sleek Highlighter just tops it off. I just use a clean finger to gently pat it around the area's I want extra glow. Purchase Here ~ £2.50

I wore this bronzed up look for my birthday. My eye makeup was done by an upcoming MUA: Stacey! Watch out for future blog posts with her details! My eye makeup was: a gold/bronzed eye makeup and Red Cherry lashes in #WSP.

MAKEUP REVIEW: BARRY M NATURAL GLOW SHADOW & PRIMER PALETTE 2

Eyeshadow Review

I'm not really an eyeshadow gal so I rarely have any eyeshadow's. I have three palette's including the Barry M one and as for individual eyeshadow's I can count it on one hand!

This palette though...girlllllll! The colours are so pretty, honestly. I'm scared of bright colours when it come's to shadow's...so this is perfecto. The matte colours are LIFE and the shimmery colours are also LIFE! The primer also helps pick up more of the colour on your skin. I just luh it guys!

It comes with two double ended aplicators but you know how we do now, it's 2015 and I've discovered my absolute loves (REAL TECHNIQUE BRUSHES) the enhance your eyes set is just...do I really need to say LIFE again? I apply these shadow's with my Real Technique Eye brushes!

My favourite colours are: starting from your left, the 3rd, 4th and 5th one in...oh my goodness. Forgive me for this but palette didn't give the pretty shadow's names so I'm going to attempt to describe them. The 3rd one is like a matte pinkish nude (forgive me!) The 2nd one is a shimmery metallic, GLOWY, colour absolute MUST for the summer. Last but not least the 5th one...I can't even explain it..a metallic goldish, pinkish...just look at the swatches below guys! Not to neglect the other shades though but those 3 are just my favourite. There are 3 matte's and 3 shimmery shades, and one nude primer which blends in to your skin complexion when applied using a blending brush.

Without using the primer, the colours do need more than one coat as they're not as pigmented as other brands, for example Sleek but nevertheless I like it! I love natural looking, glowing eye-makeup so this is the palette is definitely for me!
If you want a natural glow eye-makeup look then run to your purse and grab your debit/credit cards and purchase here - £6.49

SWATCHES!

The swatches are in the opposite order to the photograph I took of the palette. So the 1st colour in the palette (photograph near the beginning) is the colour at the end, on your right hand side in the photograph of the swatches...hopefully that made sense!
Can you just SEE how reflective the 4th and 5th colour is?! AND look at how beautiful the 5th colour looks. IN LOVE GUYS!

Stay Shadow'd! Stay Pretty!

HAIR CARE REVIEW: MOROCCAN ARGAN OIL

CREME OF NATURE: MOROCCAN ARGAN OIL REVIEW

(Pictures With Results At The End)

Replenishing Sheen Spray, Strength And Shine Leave-In Conditioner, Oil Moisturizer, Intensive Conditioning Treatment, Moisture & Shine Shampoo and Perfect Edges.

Surprisingly, this review isn't going to be too long as I have evidence (pictures) of how amazing these products work and I really want to share it with you guys. I'm going to run through the PRO'S and CON'S and then show you my results using this hair care product range. IF you want to know how a particular product works in depth please feel free to leave a comment and I will reply with all the details! If I was to go through each and every products PRO'S and CON'S you could imagine we'd be here for a very long time! (These are not all of the products in the range!)

PRO'S:
~ Replenishes hair!
~ Strength and Shine Leave-In Conditioner strengthens the hair and provides a healthy shine! Very good for everyday use.
~ Oil Moisturizer works well on very dry ends!
~ Perfect Edges does not gradually get flaky or leave a white residue like other edge controls! Edges stay on FLEEK throughout the day!
~ Moisture & Shine Shampoo intensively cleans your hair and helps with dandruff!
~ Moroccan Argan Oil is absolutely amazing for your hair!
~ Moroccan Argan Oil promotes hair growth, tames frizz and protects hair against the heat of dryers, curlers and straighteners.

CON'S:
~ The Intensive Conditioning Treatment requires you to sit under a dryer for 15 minutes, not everyone has that appliance in their household (well, I certainly don't!) It does say if you do not have a dryer then place a plastic cap over your hair for 30-45 minutes - eek, time consuming!
~ There's not a scalp treatment in the range so I do have to use an alternative hair cream for my scalp.
~ Creme Of Nature Moroccan Argan Oil is not sold in stores like Superdrug, Boots, Sainsbury's etc.

(My hair type: Drier ends, Delicate & Coarse roots, Dandruff-prone)

Before I started using the Creme Of Nature Moroccan Argan Oil products. My hair looks very, very thirsty :(
I dyed my hair 5 times (not smart) and straightened my hair everyday (really not smart!)
I can't remember the exact date this photograph was taken but it was around the ending of 2013 - beginning of 2014.

Achieved moisture by Summer 2014! Apologies I didn't add hair growth photographs but I rarely leave my hair down, it's always styled but there was definitely hair growth :)
An update (APRIL 2015):

GO AND BUY THESE PRODUCTS GUYS! Seriously, not only did it add moisture to my hair but it replenished, strengthened and promoted hair growth. For more info about the products Click Here
The only online websites that I know are trustworthy for selling these products are Amazon or Ebay as unfortunately, it is hard to locate in stores. Feel free to contact me to find out information on what London-based stores sell the products.

Stay replenished! Stay Pretty!

SKINCARE REVIEW: COCONUT OIL

COCONUT OIL REVIEW

& TIPS

If you do not know about coconut oil then you are definitely missing out. Heaven in a jar.
I'm so in love with coconut oil I just HAD to do a review on it!

What? Coconut Oil? To do exactly what?
Clear away spots and blemishes, make skin softer, remove makeup and revive dry skin!
Don't get me wrong there's so much more coconut oil can do for your skin (hair, health and it's also edible!) but these are the four reasons I use it. I'm just going to run through pro's and con's before telling you how to use coconut oil to solve these problems.

PRO'S:
~ Clears away spots and blemishes (does wonders for acne-prone, sensitive skin!)
~ Makes skin feel softer after just one use! You can see results from your first use.
~ Dry skin that tends to flake can be revived by coconut oil!
~ Coconut oil can be used for cooking and hair, a good replacement for sunflower oil when cooking.
There's so much more pro's about coconut oil! I will link a website that runs through more of the goodness this oil brings! Click Here For More Information

CON'S:
~ If you use TOO much coconut oil it can result in your skin being an 'oily mess'. Be sure to use a small amount.
~ Coconut oil for clearing spots is a lengthy process. Results won't happen until a few weeks (3-4). You may get more spots during the process of using coconut oil as it's clearing the bacteria out of the skin before getting rid of the spots. (something I experienced!)
~ If you use too much of the product it may stain clothes, pillowcases or anything it comes in contact with :(

How?
Coconut oil usually comes as a solid but can be used either in a solid form or a liquid form. You should purchase an organic, extra virgin coconut oil that's 100% raw & cold pressed. (I'll link below where you can purchase this!)

~ To clear spots: I use this after I've done my night time skin regime, it's more effective if used on clean skin. I use an ample amount of coconut oil and massage it into my skin, all over my face at night. I do sleep with the product on as it can be used as a moisturiser! Be sure to change your pillow case very frequently as this can be a contribution to spots! (If you will use coconut oil everyday, use the smallest amount and do not saturate your face in the oil!)

~ To make skin softer: Heating up the solid coconut oil then waiting for it to cool down before massaging it into your skin makes your skin softer.

~ To remove makeup: Massaging solid or liquid form coconut oil over makeup and then using a cotton pad or cotton wool to gently wipe off the makeup. This is a very effective way to remove makeup as it has no harsh chemicals (great for sensitive skin)

~ To revive dry skin: The same method for clearing spots and making skin softer can be used to do this! It also works on dry feet it doesn't make the cracks disappear completely but it makes your feet very soft.

You only need a SMALL amount to create a protective shield, coconut oil does not need to be re-applied as frequently as other skin oils.

This is the coconut oil I personally use.
Where can you purchase this?

Lucy Bee Fair Trade Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil 300ml ~ Purchase Here ~ £6.00
Vita Coco Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 250ml Purchase Here ~ £5.99

Summer is coming up and clear skin is a must! I hope this review and tips helped!

MAKEUP REVIEW: MAC & MARY KAY FOUNDATION

FOUNDATION REVIEW

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 & Mary Kay Timewise Matte-Wear Liquid Foundation

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 ~ NW47

I've had this foundation for a few years now but I stopped using it around 2013. MAC cosmetics had a high reputation in releasing quality products so I decided to finally purchase a foundation from them. I chose the studio fix fluid as it's: oil free, a matte finish and contains SPF 15. It is also full coverage! The MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation has all the attributes I look for in a foundation.
The Coverage
The coverage is amazing. I could use this foundation without concealer and that is a bonus! I have discolouration and an uneven skin tone so I'm always after a full coverage foundation. One layer does the job!

The Colour Match
NW47 is slightly lighter than my skin tone. I found that the shade NW48 is darker than my skin tone so I opted for the NW47. I don't mix this foundation as blending helps the foundation match your skin tone.

PRO'S:
~ I do not have to re-apply this foundation throughout the day it definitely stays on my skin for a full day.
~ The matte finish and oil-free helps me stay shine-free!

CON'S:
~ This foundation does not feel lightweight at all. One of the main reasons I do not use this foundation anymore is because it feels very heavy on my face.
~ The smell of the foundation puts me off too. Unfortunately it reminds me of thick paint (the smell does fade away during the day though...)
~ Isn't a natural finish.

Purchase Here ~ £21.50
I purchased the foundation pump separately ~ Purchase Here ~ £4.00

Mary Kay Timewise Matte-Wear Foundation ~ BRONZE 7

I've been using Mary Kay's foundation for several years but they re-developed their foundation. Since the new design I've been using Mary Kay for over 2 years. This is definitely my go-to foundation! It's made for: combination/oily skin, a buildable coverage, suitable for sensitive skin, oil-free and non-comedogenic.

The Coverage
The coverage is a buildable coverage meaning layering the foundation until you find a coverage that suits your skin. With this foundation if I use one layer I definitely have to use concealer but if I use two or more layers I can use minimal concealer. I tend to wear more layers of foundation if I'm going out somewhere nice for full coverage.

The Colour Match
I'm in colour Bronze 7 and during the autumn/winter it does come out a little bit too dark for my skin tone but not noticeable at all! I got this foundation tested on me during the summer (not very smart of me) so it matches my exact skin tone during Spring/Summer.

PRO'S
~ It feels ultra-lightweight and does not feel like I'm wearing foundation at all!
~ The matte finish gives me a mattified and shin-free look.
~ The colour match makes my skin look effortlessly flawless!

CON'S
~ Buildable coverage means wearing more makeup when I'm going out. To get my ideal coverage I usually have to put 2-3 layers of this foundation.
~ The packaging is in a plastic tube so it's very easy to squeeze out too much product :(

Purchase Here ~ £16.00

MAC Studio Fix        Mary Kay Timewise
I hope this foundation review was good use to you! Any sale prices that may come up on any of the makeup products talked about will be updated as we all love a good bargain!

Stay flawless! Stay pretty!
